Leadership Team

Mark is a born and bred Whangarei boy, and has been involved in public practice Chartered Accounting since 1989 before starting his own practice in 2001.

He went on to join MAQ Chartered Accountants as a Director in April 2007.  Mark has a broad range of skills from agriculture and manufacturing to the service and retail sectors and tailors solutions to fit the client's needs.

Over recent years Mark has worked with clients to develop appropriate business structures, prepare budgets and monitor performance against budget, and restructure bank finance.  He's also resolved IRD issues and offers sound tax advice going forward.  Mark has specialist knowledge in the charity sector assisting organisations to meet new reporting requirements.  He is also very experienced in farm accounting and meeting the unique challenges of this sector including succession planning.

Outside of work Mark enjoys the odd trail run and having recently "hung up the soccer boots" is able to blat around in his Mini Cooper a bit more often.
